Terms and Conditions

  1. Services Provided

GPdrone provides aerial photography, video, inspection, mapping, and related drone services for commercial and personal use. All flights are conducted in compliance with Transport Canada regulations and applicable airspace rules. 

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Provide accurate job details, locations, and contact information
• Obtain property owner permission where required
• Ensure site conditions are safe for flight operations
• Notify GPdrone of hazards such as powerlines, towers, restricted access, or active equipment

If a flight cannot proceed due to undisclosed hazards or lack of permissions, a call-out / travel fee may still apply. 

3. Weather & Safety

Flight operations are weather dependent. We may reschedule or delay a job due to:

• High winds
• Heavy rain/snow
• Extreme cold
• Visibility issues
• Airspace or safety concerns

Safety is our priority. GPdrone reserves the right to decline or modify operations at any time for safety compliance. 

4. Pricing & Payment

Quotes are provided based on project scope, travel, and complexity. Unless stated otherwise:

• Payment is due upon project completion or upon delivery of digital files
• Larger commercial or multi-day projects may require a deposit or written service agreement

Accepted payment methods: Cash, Interact E-Transfers, Major Credit Cards 

5. Travel & Mileage

GPdrone is based in Grande Prairie, Alberta and serves clients across the province. Travel outside of the Grande Prairie region may include mileage or travel fees, disclosed in advance. 

6. CancellationsIf a client cancels:

• More than 24 hours before the scheduled project — no charge
• Less than 24 hours before the scheduled project — a call-out fee may apply
• Weather-related rescheduling is always free

7. Delivery of Media

Final photos, video files, or mapping data will be delivered electronically unless otherwise agreed. 

Standard delivery time:

• 2–5 business days depending on project size      Rush turnaround is available upon request and may include a fee.

8. Usage Rights & Ownership

Commercial Clients: You receive full usage rights to all delivered content for marketing, internal documentation, and promotional use.

Personal Clients (including weddings/events):You receive unrestricted personal use rights for sharing, printing, and personal archiving.

GPdrone retains copyright to all captured imagery and video unless otherwise agreed in writing. We will not publicly share or use your footage for portfolio/promotional use without your permission. 

9. Site Access & Safety Rules

Where applicable, clients agree to provide:

• Site access clearance
• Safety orientation or PPE requirements
• Contacts for site leads or supervisors

We follow all posted site safety procedures and may request proof of orientation if required. 

10. Liability

GPdrone is insured for drone flight operations. However, GPdrone is not responsible for delays or project impacts resulting from:

• Weather
• Regulatory flight restrictions
• Airspace clearance limitations
• Site safety compliance issues

Clients are responsible for ensuring their use of delivered media complies with relevant laws, privacy rules, and publication policies. 

11. Changes to These Terms 

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
